New Patients
You’ll find that Cape Henry Chiropractic Wellness is a pleasant, relaxing place. We hear from our patients all the time that they’ve never been to an office with such a friendly staff, and we love to make you feel welcome and comfortable!
Your Initial Visit
The first appointment will start with filling out a form that tells us about your history and profile of your health. You’ll then have a consultation which consists of meeting with Dr. Thoma to discuss your concerns and answer any questions. He will perform a preliminary spinal examination, look at your movement and balance, and analyze your posture. All of this is done at no charge and helps to determine if you are a candidate for chiropractic care. If so, he’ll proceed with a more in-depth evaluation of the nervous system, muscle function and review of your systems. X-ray may be necessary; all fees for your examination and x-rays will be discussed before performing them. In total, this visit takes about an hour.
Your Second Visit
When you return, you’ll sit down with Dr, Thoma to review your findings. Together, we’ll have a discussion, and you’ll get answers to your most important questions.

You’ll receive a chiropractic adjustment, any needed therapy and book a follow-up, during which you’ll receive our recommendations for care.
Routine Visits
Your subsequent visits take about 10-15 minutes. If you have as a part of your treatment plan additional therapy like laser therapy, electrical stimulation, traction or infrared sauna, you can count on some additional time.

We’re not afraid to confront the common question of whether you see a chiropractor forever once you start.
